Rick Ahaus, Chairman of the Board of Ahaus Tool and Engineering, Inc., was recently awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Mike Pence of Indiana. Ahaus, a 50-year employee of the company and former president, was awarded the honor by his son, Kevin, and State Senator Jeff Raatz. The Sagamore of the Wabash is an honorary award created by former Indiana Governor Ralph Gates. It is a personal tribute given to those who have rendered distinguished service to the state or to the governor.

Comau has signed a global cooperation agreement with Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.a. Jet Edge, Inc. announced that its longtime U.K. distributor Aquablast Ltd. has installed a Jet Edge EDGE X-5® 5-axis waterjet cutting system at its headquarters in Beccles, Suffolk, United Kingdom. Samputensili and Star SU announce the recent appointment of Dr. Ing. Deniz Sari to the newly created position of Gear Technology Manager for Samputensili and its joint-venture Star SU. The location in Santa Clara, Calif., puts the laboratory close to key customers and partners from a wide range of industries, in particular companies from the consumer electronics and e-mobility sectors. The Santa Clara application laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including continuous wave (CW) lasers, short and ultra-short pulsed lasers, and the very latest beam sources and generators. It joins the other U.S. application laboratories TRUMPF has located in Detroit, Mich., and Farmington, Conn., further boosting the company’s ability to offer specialized expertise to customers on a local level.
