Acme Manufacturing Company announces the addition of a second manufacturing facility in Auburn Hills, Mich. This 45,000 sq. ft. building will accommodate additional manufacturing capacity for Acme’s increased business volume of more than 60 percent exported globally. Acme confirms a 30 percent increase in staff including engineers, robotic technicians, machine builders, electricians and project managers.
Cleaning Technologies Group (CTG) is proud to announce that it has started a cooperative education program at its CTG Asia division with the Joint Co-op Institute (JCI) – a partnership between the University of Cincinnati and Chongqing University. The JCI students are all Chinese nationals who are studying a UC engineering curriculum being taught entirely in English by both UC and CQU professors.
KOMET of America introduces Joe Tabri as their new Vice President of Sales. He joined KOMET two years ago, with 20 years of industry experience under his belt. Prior to accepting his current position, he was already working as President of KOMET of Canada, a role he now maintains concurrently. At the same time, Stephen Burrows, formerly a Technical Specialist in Ontario, is now the Regional Sales Manager for Canada. In addition, Komet has announced that Patrick Sheppard is their new Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest United States.
MC Machinery Systems Inc. has hired Todd Romeiser as the National Sales Manager of its Machining Division. He will be overseeing sales of MC Machinery’s broad offering of milling and turning centers. Romeiser has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing. In that time, he rose from a tool and die shop apprentice to President of the U.S. subsidiary of Spanish-based machine tool manufacturer ONA EDM.
Optical Gaging Products (OGP®), a division of Quality Vision International (QVI®), recently unveiled plans for the expansion of its Customer Center in Rochester, N.Y. The 4,500 sq. ft. addition will double the size of the existing applications lab and showroom, and create a dedicated metrology training center for OGP customers and representatives. The OGP Customer Center expansion is the third major facility expansion on QVI’s Rochester campus in the past year.

Hans brings 43 years of experience in the machine tool industry, including 39 years in management roles – most recently as Vice President of Engineering for Bourn & Koch, Rockford, Ill. Grass has in-depth expertise on gear manufacturing machine tools, as well as milling, turning, grinding and other machine tools. He was educated in Germany with an excellent Pfauter machine tool apprenticeship program, complemented by three years of engineering studies
