announces the expansion of their sales presence throughout the Northeast. Kap Choi is now the dedicated regional manager of business development for customers located anywhere from North Carolina to Maine. He brings over 27 years of capital equipment and manufacturing industry experience with international-based companies. This adds to the growing presence Edgewater Automation already has with five different locations in Michigan, South Carolina and California.

Jergens Inc. continues its initiatives for workforce development and process improvement through their newly dedicated Machining Efficiency Technology Center. The launch of the new regional center – called FastForward™ to describe their objective, vision and pace for industry – will focus on the maker/manufacturing movement and its significance to the nation’s economy.

HAAS Automation is partnering with Jergens by providing their newest VF4 SS Vertical Machining Center and the process technology that goes with it. In addition, Parlec, an industry leader in toolholding and measuring equipment, is providing their solutions. Add to that Jergens Quick-Change Fixturing and Clamping solutions, and FastForward boasts some of the most sophisticated manufacturing technology available today for demonstration and education. The center will regularly host events such as seminars, classes, think tanks and more.

Prima Power Laserdyne has announced organizational changes in response to the company’s growing customer base and demand for its new products. Corey Hansen has joined Prima Power Laserdyne as regional sales manager covering the central United States, Canada and Mexico. Prior to joining LASERDYNE, he was sales manager for Emerson Electric Company, responsible for Kato Engineering products sold to global customers in the defense, oil & gas, aerospace and power generation industries. 

Marcello Di Giandomenico has joined Prima Power Laserdyne in support of the company’s sales in Europe. Prior to joining Prima Power, he worked as a software testing engineer for CNH Industrial in Torino, Italy. He is a graduate of Politecnico di Torino with a MSc in mechatronics engineering and is fluent in French and English, as well as his native Italian.

Mahr Federal has announced that Donald (Don) A. Pearson II has joined Mahr Federal as general manager of Mahr-ESDI, Tucson. He will report directly to Mahr Federal President Tony Picone in his new role. Pearson has 30 years of experience in the optics and photonics industries and is a long-term active member in OSA, SPIE, ASPE and APOMA. He currently sits on the OSA's Industry Council and was a previous board member of the Optical Society of Southern California.
