USMTC Detail Summary Report

The U.S. Manufacturing Technology Consumption (USMTC) summary includes metal cutting and forming machine consumption by region in a continually revised 13-month table format perfect for tracking the aggregate trends in the machine tool market. This summary also includes a textual and graphical summary of the data featuring comments made by the presidents of AMT and AMTDA.  The information is collected from machine tool builders and distributors and is reported in terms of units and U.S. dollars. August 9, 2010 - USMTC News Release for June Manufacturing Technology Consumption
June U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $241.47 million, according to AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology and AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTC program, was up 35.8% from May and up 71.1% from the total of $141.12 million reported for June 2009. With a year-to-date total of $1,207.60 million, 2010 is up 56.1% compared with 2009. (more)

July 12, 2010 - USMTC News Release for May Manufacturing Technology Consumption
May U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $178.34 million, according to AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association and AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology.  This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTC program, was down 22.9% from April but up 58.6% from the total of $112.42 million reported for May 2009. April U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $222.36 million, according to AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology and AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTC program, was down 15.6% from March but up 102.7% from the total of $109.69 million reported for April 2009. March U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $258.00 million, according to AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association, and AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology.  This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTC program, was up 58.1% from February and up 49.5% from the total of $172.59 million reported for March 2009.  With a year-to-date total of $548.53 million, 2010 is up 33.7% compared with 2009. (more)

February U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $163.96 million, according to AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology and AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTC program, was up 28.8% from January and up 22.1% from the total of $134.34 million reported for February 2009.
