AMT Announces the Cancellation of MT360

McLean, Va., (March 12, 2020) - Since the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have been closely monitoring the guidelines and recommendations set by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department with respect to the MT360 conference, planned for May 12 – 14, 2020 in Santa Clara, CA.

This week, the WHO declared the global COVID-19 outbreak to be a pandemic, the White House announced a restriction on travel from affected European countries, and Santa Clara Public Health Department ordered a ban on mass gatherings. Due to these escalating concerns and with the safety and health of the community as our top priority, we have made the decision to cancel the MT360 conference.

The purpose of MT360 has always been to build a community that connects manufacturing and technology, and to facilitate partnerships and new business opportunities. In the months leading up to the conference, we have hosted and sponsored meetups and events in Silicon Valley and on the East Coast and facilitated connections between the manufacturing, tech, and investment communities. Going forward, AMT will continue our work to create connections between manufacturing and tech, through events, meetups, and the launch of our San Francisco Tech Lab, which will serve as a co-location and collaboration space for both manufacturing and technology companies in the Bay Area.

The commitment of people like you clearly demonstrates the importance of building the MT360 community. You helped create a movement and we are excited to continue building on the ideas and concepts that were developed through this process with you.
